Working at a smaller studio often means thinking outside the box for creative solutions.
The studio needed a quick means of prototyping gameplay for a Nintendo DS product, but lacked the resources and
time necessary to properly develop a full 3d editor. I came in as the Maya expert to solve this problem.
Leveraging the available 3D tools inside Maya, Proxy World is completely MEL-driven Level Editor used to create
grid based, grey-box maps for Ms. Pacman: Maze Madness 2. My tools allowed Designers to build levels and prototype
gameplay without any prior content creation skills. The scripted editor simplified the task to a set of essential
tools, empowering a small team to test and produce levels without the need to wait on programmers or artists.
